Permissions wiped on network password change?

This is bizarre...my network password expired on my Windows 7 machine and since then (not sure if it related but seems coincidental) I haven't been able to make any changes to my store inside of the NetSqlAzMan MMC snap-in.  When I go to options, it has Developer Mode selected and everything is disabled so I can't change it.  It appears to me that I'm no longer an admin.  Any idea what happened and/or how to change it?   It seems that no other accounts can get in either.  Help please!!!
